AXA is a major global insurer with significant onshore operations in several SEA markets, often through joint ventures or local partnerships. AXA International is its IPMI arm for globally mobile populations. AXA has been divesting some Asia operations in recent years, buyers should confirm current entity status.

AXA is one of the largest insurance groups globally by premium revenue and assets. Its financial strength is underpinned by a diversified global book and strong Solvency II ratio. In Asia, AXA's story is more complex, the group has been selectively divesting and restructuring Asian positions since the late 2010s, exiting or transferring certain life insurance businesses while doubling down on P&C and health. The sale of AXA's Malaysian life operation to Generali and the transition of Thai partnerships reflect this rationalisation. AXA remains a credible counterparty, but buyers in SEA should verify current entity status carefully, as the regional structure has changed materially.
